25 Nov Lend a Loving Hand: Be a Blessings Buddy This Giving Tuesday
Though it may hardly feel like it now, soon the Black Friday crowds will be cleared and the turkey and mashed potatoes will all be eaten. We are glad that, amidst the uproar of the rising holiday season, there is a day set apart to celebrate the good works that non-profit organizations nationwide do. That special day has come to be known as “Giving Tuesday,” the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, commemorating compassion and humanitarian effort.
Blessings International is proud to be a yearly participant in Giving Tuesday, and this December 3rd will be no different. Always thankful for our donors and supporters who so generously give, we take the opportunity this year to invite our friends to become Blessings Buddies in order to distribute even more free medicines, vitamins, and medical supplies to the needy here in the United States and abroad.
Blessings Buddies consists of a special group of supporters who make a small but meaningful monthly gift to help more needy individuals worldwide. A buddy walks close as a friend in love, and when you choose to make a monthly gift of $5, $10, or even $25 per month, you come alongside those less fortunate, loving your neighbor as yourself. The gift of health and safety given to one in need helps to fulfill Jesus’ command, “As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34).
We are hopeful to fulfill the goal of 100 new Blessings Buddies this Giving Tuesday who will stand and answer the call. As you may know, the combination of medical attention received by individuals via the teams we partner with, coupled with the medicines they bring to the hurting through Blessings, truly saves lives! We are humbled to hear the stories every day.

Click To TweetFor example, Good Samaritan Medical Dental Ministry (pictured below) tells us of a six-year-old boy brought to their Vietnam clinic unconscious with a swollen brain from meningitis. Without the urgent medical attention—along with God’s miraculous hand—this child’s future may have been woefully different. But, praise God, the boy was alert and up six hours later!
When you join Blessings Buddies this Giving Tuesday, you are ensuring that praise reports such as these continue to be generated. With each gift, you bless the lives of those who do not have immediate access to the medical care we take for granted in the Western world.
Thank you so much for becoming a Buddy to those in need this Giving Tuesday!
