Employee Spotlight: Tracey Stanley

Name:

Tracey Stanley

Began working at Blessings International:

January 2020

Role:

Receiving Associate

If you had to compare yourself to a TV-show character, who would you be, and why?

Dorothy Zbornak from the Golden Girls. Like me, an oldie but a goodie. Dorothy was strong willed, introspective, compassionate, and also fiercely protective of her family and friends. A voice of reason, if you will, but I have also been known to be sarcastic at times. (Oops, I did not let that slip out. LOL!) And whatever you do, do not ask my husband or kids to tell you about my lame “mom jokes!”

Describe the part you play at Blessings:

I receive all incoming purchase orders, returns, adjustments, and recalls into stock and the system. I also issue credits, help to create barcodes, and locate medicinal pedigrees.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

I love the fact that there is always something new to learn and every day presents a new and rewarding challenge! There will never be a day where I can say that I know everything and that is what keeps life exciting!

Where have you served in a missional capacity?

I volunteer at my church every chance that presents itself, and I also volunteer at local animal shelters and schools when help is needed. I truly enjoy helping others.

Where/How would you like to serve in the future?

I would love to serve and witness to people in different states as well as in Canada about the love that Jesus has for us. We have so many wonderful organizations that need help and support right here in our own backyards. Honestly, wherever the Lord wants me to go is where I will go.

What was your last staff devotional about?

My last devotional was about how, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, it may feel that God has forgotten us but that He does hear us and He knows what is best of us, and His will will be done in His perfect time! He is still God and He is still on the throne!

What is your best memory here at Blessings?

With me not even being here quite a year, I have sooo many. The people I work with are all “Blessings!” I tell everyone that the name of this company suits the people, customers, and the staff perfectly!

However, if I have to choose just one, at a company offsite, the day we all get together and bond over breakfast as well as lunch, and enjoy a fun-filled group activity, our warehouse manager went around to each member of the staff and, in front of everyone, told us of our importance in his eyes to the company, not just with our roles but also with our personalities and traits. It brought tears to several people’s eyes, not just mine. I will always remember him building us all up!

Posing with a shipment of medicines at the beginning of the COVID pandemic.

Team-building day, 2020. Tracey’s team got second place!

The forklift: a fun aspect of the job.
