Employee Spotlight: Dale Confer

Name:

Dale Confer

Began working at Blessings International:

June 2019

Role:

Warehouse associate

If you had to compare yourself to a TV-show character, who would you be, and why?

Tim Allen in his role as Mike Baxter on Last Man Standing. He is funny, happily married, blunt, and he addresses issues that need to be corrected.

Describe the part you play at Blessings:

After the orders are finalized with the customer, they are placed in our bin in the order they need to be shipped. I pull that order and scan it into the fulfillment queue. We have Android tablets that show me the product, lot number, location number, location, and quantities ordered. I go to that location and pull it. I follow that list until I pick the last item. Once I pull the last item, I print out the order and use it to check each item I pack. Once it’s packed, it’s ready to be shipped out.

I believe that the part I play at Blessings is to send hope, help, and healing to every individual that is given these medicines.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

My favorite aspect is that I get to work with like-minded people. Everyone is interested in all of us fulfilling our purpose as Blessings International.

Where have you served in a missional capacity?

Two times at Mardi Gras evangelizing and carrying an eight-foot cross down Bourbon Street and around the city. One time at Indy 500, evangelizing and carrying that cross. People got saved and delivered every time.

I also went to Manchester, England, to do a work project at World Harvest Bible church.

Where/How would you like to serve in the future?

Short-term evangelistic outreaches. I’m looking at Panama. No particular reason other than I’m interested in Panama.

What was your last staff devotional about?

It was titled, “God Has a Big But.” Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” We have to come to the realization that no matter what we are facing, God has a but that will change the situation. John 10:10 shows us that the devil comes to kill, steal, and to destroy, BUT Jesus came to not only give us life, BUT life more abundantly.

What is your best memory here at Blessings?

There are so many to choose from but I think it would be the off-site where we went to an escape room in which my team won, of course. It was a real team-building time and a time of getting to know each other better.
