Began working at Blessings International:

Role:
Accounting Clerk
If you had to compare yourself to a TV-show or movie character, who would you be, and why?
I would say Captain America is someone I would compare myself to. We both are a little stubborn at times and both firmly will believe, if something is the right thing to do and we are passionate about it, we will give it our all to make it right.
Describe the part you play at Blessings:
What I do here are at Blessings International as the accounting clerk is accounts receivables, invoicing, month-end reporting, and helping out wherever I am needed.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
My favorite aspect of the job is knowing what I am doing is glorifying God on a day-to-day basis.
Where have you served in a missional capacity?
I have yet to serve out of the country, but I am a firm believer in serving the community around me. Places I have served have been the Tulsa Day Center, and my church community in Sand Springs, OK.
Where/How would you like to serve in the future?
I would love to take my wife and go anywhere we are called to and just help out in any way possible.
What was your last staff devotional about?
My last devotional was about perseverance. We all go through things in life that challenge our faith and tempt us. I like to call it “rolling with the punches.” Because in my mind, Satan is the one throwing those punches and our faith in Jesus Christ is how we keep getting back up. Temptation is something we all will face on our walk, but we have perseverance in our faith, knowing and trusting God will be there to help with all things we struggle with day to day.
“12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3: 12-14).
What is your best memory here at Blessings?
My best memory here at Blessings is just the fellowship I get to have with everyone on a day-to-day basis.
